And This Year’s Townie Awards Go To…

Join us on June 28 at the Oakland Progressives Party + Townie Awards as we celebrate the work of Oakland’s social justice warriors – the activists, organizations, and other leaders who advance community-led solutions that lift up the interests of our working-class, immigrant and communities of color. They include a close ally who’s bringing a racial justice lens to transportation governance on the BART board, current and former leaders of our partner organizations who are now boldly stepping up to run for office, a neighborhood-based coalition that is taking power into its own hands in the wake of neglect by its city councilmembers, and two local businesses who truly value community space and voice.

Nikki Fortunato Bas – Townie of the Year

Oakland Progressives Party + Townie Awards is the premier summer event for movement builders and change makers. Every year, our annual fundraiser brings together social justice organizers, political leaders, and community members committed to working together to build an inclusive and equitable Oakland for everyone.

Our 10-year anniversary party is your opportunity to help us continue to grow political power for long-time working-class families in the Town.

We hope to see you there!
